NEW 4-LANE HIGHWAY 67 OPENS TO TRADITION
May 19, 2008
After years of construction and much anticipation, the Mississippi Department of Transportation opened four lanes of the new, improved Highway 67 to Tradition this month.
The new 8.5 mile stretch of highway links Highway 49, just north of Saucier, Mississippi, to Tradition, providing access to the master planned community in 8-10 minutes, with no stoplights.
The new improved Highway 67 connects at the new Highway 605/Tradition Parkway intersection at Tradition's southern border, providing easy access to Interstate 10 as well.
The final section of the improved, four-land Highway 67 that will link Tradition to Biloxi and the I-110 interchange is anticipated to open in early 2009. These highway improvements represent an investment of over $225 million for Harrison County's future growth.
