For the young or young at heart, the possibilities are endless in the Village. So when you are looking for adventure or just a little relaxation, you'll find it steps away from your new home.
Let others drive all over town looking for fun. You have it right at your fingertips. From relaxing alongside the lake to a pick-up game of Frisbee in the park to a nature walk with man's best friend — it's all here for you to enjoy. To the delight of walkers, joggers, and bikers, our system of trails meander and connect you to neighborhood homes, the Village Center, community pool, and the adjacent DeSoto National Forest.
The village amphitheater and town green will be a social center of the community. The open air amphitheater along the Village lake is ideal for lazy afternoons relaxing with a book, concerts, plays, and community gatherings. Restaurants and cafes in the Village Center will also feature open air seating for a front row view of events occurring on the green.
Community events occur on a regular basis in the Village Center, the Discovery Center green, and in area parks. And the community's Intranet site allows residents to share information and special interests — from finding a jogging partner to sharing gardening tips.
In addition, the Village Institute provides a way to ensure these events continue long after the community is built out and the developer leaves. Residents can enjoy concerts, events, festivals, classes, seminars, sports, and have a way to support worthy causes through a collective donation of time and money. To keep its mission intact and distinct from the Village Homeowners Association, the Institute was formed as a non profit organization that is funded through a small percentage of the resale of each property, donations, and grants. This structure allows the HOA to focus its dues and efforts on ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the community and enforcement of its covenants; while allowing the Institute to plan activities and events for the residents and visitors to the community.
Ready to explore beyond Tradition? Enjoy the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
Within minutes of your home at Tradition, you have the beauty and bubbling energy of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Scenic beaches line our 26-mile stretch of coastline. The Mississippi Sound, Back Bay of Biloxi, and numerous rivers and streams provide a habitat for our world-famous seafood and many opportunities for fishing, boating, or just a day on a jet ski. The region's activities extend beyond the water to nearby golf courses designed by the likes of Palmer, Nicholas, and Fazio, and world class entertainment and dining at our 12 casinos. Museums complete the landscape with internationally-recognized pottery, sculpture, and paintings on display by native sons, George E. Ohr and Walter Anderson. And all of this is available 365 days a year due to our temperate climate.
